I had a real good visit out to Madina. Juma was baptized. We also went over 3 lessons together talking about the difference between believers and unbelievers. There was also a group of 3 guys that wanted to start the teaching. One of them has been listening to an mp3 player that I left for his brother and he really has been listening. The other two haven’t but they are all interested. The interesting thing is that they are more of the social outcast sorts (like Juma). They are not “good Muslims”. They drink, 2 of them sleep around and cause all sorts of problems with illegitimate children, the other one is a total loner and hardly talks to anyone and smokes marijanna. Jesus’ sort of people. But they want to hear the teaching. So, we started and I gave them an abbreviated lesson and told them to listen to the full lessons while I was gone.
My motorcycle did good going out to Madina. It took a little less than 3 hrs, the same as in a vehicle. On the smooth paved road I can only go about 45 mph (I didn’t want to rev the engine too high, the internet says its max speed is 52). But on the bad roads it is easy to make up that time. The bike has a nice little rack on the back that I strapped a little action packer to. I should have taken a picture before I left.
