As many of you know Lindsay experienced some form of chronic illness while we were in Senegal. As soon as we arrived in the States, we saw a couple of doctors and were unable to find anything conclusive through medical testing. At the same time, the symptoms Lindsay had been experiencing for so long suddenly stopped. With one exception a couple weeks after our arrival to the States, she has not experienced those symptoms again. The best guess at this point - and that is what it is - is that it was a physical allergy to something in Senegal that is not here in the States or it was a result of stress. While there isn't much that we can do if it is an allergy, we have pursued the stress issue by talking to our dear friends the Hamlines who are counselors and former missionaries in Africa. They were very helpful in giving us some ideas for changes we can make when going back. We would appreciate your prayers regarding this matter, especially when we return to Senegal next January.
